Project Overview
Crowd Solve is a civic-technology platform that connects residents with local authorities. The idea is simple let people report problems in their area, let the community vote on what matters most, and let everyone track how issues get resolved but the implementation touches a lot of moving parts.
The problem to solve
The platform needed three distinct types of user (residents, moderators and administrators) with different permissions, real-time status on reported issues, geographic context for every report, and an interface simple enough for non-technical community members to use confidently.
How we architected it
We built Crowd Solve as a Laravel application with role-based access control across the three user tiers. Residents submit geotagged reports that appear on an interactive map powered by the Google Maps API; other residents upvote the reports they care about, which surfaces the most pressing issues automatically. An email and notification system keeps people informed as an issue moves through its lifecycle.
The moderation side
Administrators and moderators work from a dedicated dashboard where they review incoming reports, update statuses, filter by area or category, and see analytics on volume and resolution. The dashboard is what makes the platform practical to run at scale rather than just a demo.

The Challenge
Crowd Solve required a multi-role system (residents, moderators, administrators) with different permissions, real-time status updates on reported issues, geographic context for every report, and an interface usable by non-technical community members.
Our Solution
We built a Laravel application with role-based access across three tiers, geotagged issue reporting on an interactive Google Maps view, a community upvote mechanism that surfaces priority issues, email and in-app notifications through the issue lifecycle, and a moderation dashboard with filtering and analytics.
The Result
Crowd Solve launched as a working civic-tech platform and was successfully demonstrated to local authorities as a viable tool for community engagement and urban issue management.
